The race for the playoffs is very intense in the West. The last two spots are occupied by the Nashville Predators and the Dallas Stars.
The Golden Knights are still in the race, with four points of the Stars who are in eighth place, same thing for the Canucks.
On the other hand, Andrew Hammond of the Devils hurt Vegas yesterday, making 42 saves and beating the Golden Knights 3-2.
With this loss, the chances of the Golden Knights making the playoffs this year are 21%. Nothing is impossible, but it doesn't look good.
Are they starting to regret the trade to acquire Jack Eichel? Because right now, Buffalo could receive the number 15 pick in the next draft, if Vegas doesn't make the playoffs.
Also, Alex Tuch and Peyton Krebs are having a good time with the Sabres.
