Connor McDavid went down with an injury lately that knocked him out for over a week but it looks like he could return to action sooner than expected.

McDavid Update

Connor McDavid was injured recently with a muscle pull that had left fans worried about if he will miss tine. it was later confirmed that he will miss 1-2 weeks with his injury.

Most thought this would knock him out of the upcoming heritage classic but it has been revealed that he may be back sooner than expected. Insider Frank Seravalli reported the following:

Better news on the horizon for #Oilers? Sounds like the plan is for Connor McDavid to practice this evening outdoors at Commonwealth Stadium. Let's see how he feels this morning.

The Oilers have struggled without McDavid so his return would mean a lot for the team. It is not often teams play an outdoor game so it is almost guaranteed that McDavid will try to make this game and potentially even rush back from this injury.
