Elliotte Friedman reported last week that the Panthers attempted to trade Bobrovsky and his expensive contract prior to the playoffs.

It's official Bobrovski is now on the trade market

«Trading Bobrovsky would free up significant cap space to address the Panthers' immediate and long-term needs. However, he's signed through 2025-26 with a $10-million annual average value and a full no-movement clause. Assuming he'd agree to a trade, his list of preferred destinations could be short. The Panthers would also have to retain a healthy chunk of his cap hit to entice potential suitors.» said Panthers insider Richardson

The cap situation in Florida is complicated.

Captain Aleksander Barkov's new contract ($10M AAV) begins next season. Huberdeau will enter the final year of his contract and is looking for a $10M AAV next season. On top of that, goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky's $10 million cap hit is a significant cost.

Trust me, 3 players at 30 Million dollars AAV doesn't work..

Look at the Maple Leafs, they are the best example. This was the year the Panthers should of finally won a Stanley Cup but they choked.
