The Calgary Flames' 3-2 win over the Dallars yesterday means bad news for the Montreal Canadiens organization.
The further the Flames advance in the NHL playoffs, the further away the team's first round pick, now owned by the Montreal Canadiens, will be.
The Calgary Flames' first-round pick has been acquired by the Habs, along with fifth-round pick Tyler Pitlick and prospect Emil Heineman. In return, the Alberta team received the services of Tyler Toffoli.
The former CH player scored a goal yesterday, his first of the playoffs.
It will be quite a showdown in the second round, as the Flames will face the Edmonton Oilers in the Battle of Alberta.
