As the Montreal Canadiens prepare to face the Lightning in Tampa in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals, 13 members of NHL.com had fun voting for their team's most valuable player in the playoffs so far.
Carey Price received 11 of the 13 first place votes for a total of 37 points.
The Conn Smythe Trophy is awarded to the most valuable player to his team during the playoffs. It is voted on by a panel of the Professional Hockey Writers Association.
According to this exercise, Price is the only CH player to receive votes from the NHL.com panel. The others are center Brayden Point (17 points), goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy (16) and forward Nikita Kucherov (8).
Since the start of the playoffs, Price has a 12-5 record. He also has an efficiency average of .934% which is second only to Vasilevskiy (.936%). His goals-against-average of 2.02 places him third behind Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell (1.81) and Vasilevskiy (1.99).
