Connor McDavid Erupts at the Referee
Connor McDavid is without a doubt the best player in the NHL. Being the first player to go into the Christmas break with 30 goals since Alexander Ovechkin in 2006, alongside another 36 assists, McDavid is on track to have the best season of his career.
However, when it comes to the physical aspect of the game, McDavid lulls behind. In a game against the Vancouver Canucks, McDavid was involved in a minor bout of interference. We can understand why this could maybe be a call, but it was so minor that nine out of ten times it would go unpunished.
You can judge for yourself here:
McDavid then throws a little tantrum, trying to get a call. On his skate back to the bench, he falls over, trying to get the referees to feel bad. For such a good player, this is an embarrassing effort.
