Don Cherry destroys Auston Matthews in his podcast
On his latest podcast, Cherry expressed his views on the weekend's events, focusing on Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews.
"I'd like to talk about Matthews for a minute," began Cherry on the podcast.
"Evidently it was pretty tough for him to get dressed, 10 million dollars and he can't get dressed?" yelled Cherry.
Prior to the dress code change, Cherry regarded Matthews was one of the league's best dressed. Cherry even said in the past that Matthews and Henrik Lundqvist were the best dressed players.
"You see him coming in now... he's dressed... you can't say he's a slob, but it's like he's going to a barbeque or something like that and I just don't understand it, I can't understand it."
Cherry would go on to question why Matthews would push for these changes now. The former NHL head coach pointed out that things went so well for him last year that it simply doesn't make sense.
"I just don't understand, this guy had everything going for him last year and now he has to change everything," added Cherry.
Wow, he is right but to be honest it is only 4 games in a 82 games season.
