Elliotte Friedman Drops a Bomb Regarding One of the League's Top Young Defenceman
If there's one commodity that every team loves, it's young defencemen with term.
There aren't many on the market, since most teams that have these assets hold onto them. However, Elliotte Friedman dropped a bombshell today indicating that one could be coming available.
Philadelphia's Ivan Provorov has all of the tools needed to be a fantastic piece for any team. He hasn't been a perfect fit in Philly, but with the right structure and teammates, he could very well be a top-pairing defender.
Provy could be a trade candidate. Not imminent, but likely you'll hear his name out there.
A lot of mutual frustration. Flyers thinking is it time for him to go somewhere else. It hasn't worked as well as it could've and should've in Philadelphia
At 25-years-old, and locked up through 2026 at a reasonable $6.75-million annually, Provorov would be a dream acquisition.
