The 21-year-old Winnipeg Jets defenseman, drafted 20th overall in 2019, Ville Heinola, is really not happy with his usage in Manitoba.
Here are the comments of his agent, Allain Roy:
« I think anyone who has seen him play in hockey knows that he has reached a point where he has rendered a regular NHL player useless.
Ville does not deserve a guaranteed spot in the lineup. He deserves a chance to play a series of games to show that he can do it.
At some point, you're going to have to make that decision because the asset (Heinola) is going to stagnate and start going backwards. That's what's going to happen. I don't think he's backing down yet, but there's definitely frustration building, and that's never a good sign. »
Heinola has four assists in seven games with the Manitoba Moose this season.
