Forward leaves KHL to sign with the New York Islanders

The New York Islanders have agreed to terms on a one-season, one-piece contract with Russian forward Nikita Soshnikov.
The deal will pay him $750,000.
Soshnikov has spent the last four seasons in the KHL.
In 22 games last season, he recorded 15 points with the Omsk Avangard.
