National Hockey League Commissioner Gary Bettman received some very bad news yesterday.
One of his biggest sponsors, Adidas, is jumping ship and will no longer be the official NHL jersey brand.
«BREAKING NEWS: @adidas will not return as the NHL's official uniform and apparel supplier when its contract expires after the 2023-24 season, multiple sources confirmed to ESPN & @wyshynski." - hockey Jerseyz
Obviously, other sponsors will step up to the plate to replace them, but it's still a solid slap in the face for the League, considering that Gatorade dropped Bettman in the last few weeks.
