He finally revealed the reason why he scratched future star Kaapa Kakko.

Gerard Gallant said he scratched Kaapo Kakko in Game 6 because he was «trying to win a hockey game.» It was a coaches decision. He said he likes Kakko, feels he's going to be a big part of next season for the Rangers. He'd be disappointed if Kakko and Lafreniere aren't top 6.
