The famous PTO, or professional trial contracts, are very popular. When a player interests a team, it is an ideal solution to avoid taking a chance in the long run.
In his most recent article, Marco D'Amico of Montreal Hockey Now identified a few players that could be of interest to Kent Hughes of the Montreal Canadiens.
Here is the list:
Anton Stralman
With 1000 games, the 36 year old can still play 20 minutes per game. The defenseman would be very good to frame the young CH defense.
Calvin De Haan
With 10 seasons in the Bettman circuit, De Haan is still without a contract for next season. A defensive type defenseman is never a bad thing in a team.
Antoine Roussel
A fourth line player who could bring a lot of leadership to this young team.
P.K. Subban!
The chances are pretty slim, but why not! It would definitely sell some tickets!
