Insider Marco D'Amico of Montreal Hockey Now has decided to redo the 2019 NHL draft, adding Montreal Canadiens young defenceman Arber Xhekaj, who we should remember, was not drafted.
"Compared to other 1st round talent in this draft, Xhekaj is trending pretty well and he continues to improve his offensive game. Add to that his on-ice personality and the value of being a sheriff for the Montreal Canadiens, and Xhekaj becomes a special player that teams typically spend a very high pick on."
So, according to D'Amico, Wi-Fi would have been drafted 26th overall. That's to say Marc Bergevin pulled off quite a coup by signing him as a free agent.
