NHL Hockey Insider Elliotte Friedman revealed during his Saturday's Headlines segment that teams are looking to bring in both Schenn brothers.

With the NHL Trade Deadline only a couple of weeks away from what's sure to be a day filled with a flurry of deals, speculation is really starting to ramp up when it comes to potential trade targets.

NHL Insider Elliotte Friedman is no stranger to the speculation talk, and had some interesting information regarding two potential targets with a pretty close connection: Luke Schenn and Brayden Schenn.

Speaking on the Saturday's Headlines segment during the second intermission of the Carolina Hurricanes/Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast, Friedman noted that teams are going to look to potentially reunite the Schenn brothers at the deadline.

It certainly could be considered a coup getting both players as both men add a Stanley Cup winning resume as well as a different; albeit effective skillset.

What Teams Are Getting With Reuniting Luke And Brayden Schenn

We touched previously on both brothers but we'll do a Quick Look at what you can expect from the duo.

Luke, 35, is a stay-at-home defenseman who will give you bone-crunching hits, a relentless shot-blocking acumen and a veteran leadership unlike any other.

For his career, he's played 1050 games and added 202 points in that span. While not impressive in terms of offense, it's his defense and knack for hitting that really stands out.

In those 1050 games, Schenn has 3558 hits and 1579 blocks; averaging 278 and 123 per season respectively. It's pretty clear that he has one job, and he does it very well.

Luke also won two Stanley Cups, doing so in back to back years with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Also a fairly cheap option at $2.75M, he could definitely add some much needed defensive help to teams like the Toronto Maple Leafs or Vegas Golden Knights; teams dealing with struggles and injuries.

Brayden, 33, is the younger of the two brothers and offers a versatile and reliable offensive producer who has been the backbone of the Blues for several years.

In his career, the younger Schenn has 371 goals and 396 assists in 996 games while adding a ton of toughness (averaging 174 hits for his career) and has proven playoff success as a Stanley Cup Champion as well.

Schenn has been targeted by several teams including Toronto, Vegas, and Colorado. The Maple Leafs could have a leg up at least in terms of familiarity, as head coach Craig Berube coached Schenn when he won the Cup with the Blues.

The issue would be his contract, as he is owed $6.5M for the next three seasons, and it would be hard to justify paying Schenn into his age-36 year especially if he starts regressing.

This season, Brayden has 11 goals and 21 assists in a slight down year for the Blues.

It will be a bit of a difficult path for teams to acquire both Luke and Brayden Schenn as they need to make sure that they have enough assets to satisfy both Nashville and St. Louis.

But the chance to reunite the brothers and give them a chance to win it all together? That's worth the price alone.
