According to the Hockey News, two teams are in the running to sign him, and with the possibility to win another title before hanging up his skates, Fleury may be willing to waive his no-trade clause to make a deal happen. This is what THN has to say about it:
«Following a shaky start, the 37-year-old Fleury has regained his Vezina Trophy form. An unrestricted free agent at season's end, he could prefer another shot at a Stanley Cup, something he won't get in the immediate future with the rebuilding Blackhawks. Perhaps the Colorado Avalanche come calling or a reunion with the Pittsburgh Penguins could be in the cards.»
We also know that the Edmonton Oilers are keeping a close eye on Flower's situation, though he'd have to be certain they're top contenders before accepting a transfer.
We have a feeling the Blackhawks will prefer to send players away rather than sign new ones before the deadline, as the organisation continues to rebuild and reload for the future.
Will Flower return to Pittsburgh with his buddies or will he finish up in Denver?
