With no trade on the horizon to get him out of Buffalo, Jack Eichel, 24, has made a huge shift. Eichel, according to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, has chosen Pat Brisson over Peter Fish and Peter Donatelli.
John Tavares, Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Sidney Crosby, Anze Kopitar, Claude Giroux, Nathan MacKinnon, and others are among Brisson's clients. According to Puckpedia, Pat Brisson's current client contracts are worth over $1 billion, with an average annual value of $175 million. Forbes ranked Brisson as the 9th most powerful agent in sports in 2017. He was ranked #7 in 2016 and #10 in 2015. The Hockey News frequently ranks him among the top 100 most powerful persons in the NHL. He has negotiated contracts for hundreds of millions of dollars for his clients. It's unclear why this move was made, but Brisson has the knowledge and relationships to get things done faster. Eichel's prior agents said in July that their client expected to be out of Buffalo by now.
