Well the media is squarely on the Montreal Canadiens and the Excutive Vice-President Jeff Gorton hiring his long time friend Kent Hughes as General Manager of the Canadiens.
There was a list of 11 possible candidates for the position, including Patrick Roy, Danny Brière, and Mathieu Darche. Tho Kent Hughes is one of the best NHL agents the question will be can he run an NHL franchise?
Only time will tell if Gorton made the right decision with the Canadiens looking to be sellers at the trade deadline and when Hughes has to be on the other said of negotiating now working for the team instead of the player.
We know this with the crazy media in Montreal if this move doesn't work the media and the most passionate fans in hockey will let know.
