The president of the Colorado Avalanche, Joe Sakic, invited himself to the Montreal Canadiens camp.
Why did he do that? Because Kent Hughes, the Canadiens general manager, quoted him outright when talking to his players, according to Kevin Vallee of BPM Sports.
« At the beginning of your career, you have to prove that you belong. Then you have to prove that you still belong. »
A quote that makes sense for some of the team's veterans who will be fighting for a role.
