According to Pierre Lebrun of TSN and The Athletic, the Toronto Maple Leafs are reportedly signing free agent and best friend of John Tavares, Sam Gagner.
The 32-year-old former first-round pick had 31 points in 81 games last season with the Detroit Red Wings.
He signed a one-season, $850,000 contract last summer. This would definitely be a nice addition for the Leafs, who lost the services of newly retired veteran Jason Spezza.
