Jordan Binnington Speaks His Mind On Connor McDavid After a Shootout Loss
Usually Jordan Binnington is in the news for bad reasons. Whether it's his bad temper, his terrible numbers as a goalie, or his violent style of play, the media has come to expect very little from the 2019 Cup winner.
Yesterday, however, in a game against the Edmonton Oilers, Binnington felt the wrath of the best player in modern hockey - Connor McDavid.
Their sequence together started late in the third period, when Binnington laid himself on top of McDavid for an oddly long amount of time following a close quarters shot.
Then, following a shootout loss, Binnington praised McDavid in his post-game interview; referring to him as McJesus.
It's fair to say that Binnington is one of the most spoken about goalies in the league and it isn't for his play.
