Having placed Carey Price on the long-term injury list, Kent Hughes is left with a dilemma. Either keep his goalie on that list until he is fit, or trade his contract, as he did for Shea Weber.
When asked about this on RDS, Kent Hughes was candid.
Kent Hughes (on RDS): We haven't explored the possibility of trading Price's contract yet. If there is a way for him to play again someday, we'd like it to be in Montreal."
- CH general manager's comments, reported by Karine Hains
So, all indications are that Carey Price will remain a Habs forever.
