The Toronto Maple leafs were looking good and feeling good in Madison Square Gardens. Mitch Marner got the monkey off his back getting a goal and the Leafs had a 3-1lead at the end of the first period.
That's when the good times would end Igor Shesterkin would close the door and the Rangers came back scoring 5 goals to hand the Leafs the loss.
Auston Matthews thought he score his record tying 11th straight road goal but after being reviewed it was called no goal by the NHL war room due to a kicking motion by Matthews. The Leafs have to feel disappointed another game they have the lead to end up blowing.
