The club and reigning Calder Trophy winner Kirill Kaprizov have been at odds all offseason, but with training camp starting next week, things appear to be heating up. When questioned about Kaprizov earlier this week, Wild GM Bill Guerin didn't hold back his dissatisfaction, stating the team will focus on other things once training camp begins. That is, if you are not part of our team, we will carry on without you.
Here's Guerin's full quote courtesy of Wild insider Michael Russo of The Atheltic:
"I'm disappointed that we don't have him signed, but we are not the only team in this situation. Training camp starts next week. And when that starts, we're gonna focus on the guys we have there. This happens all the time, but we'll just move ahead."
Do you think Guerin can get it done before season opener? Let us know below.
