RUMOR: The Toronto Maple Leafs are Looking to Acquire a Former Top-5 Pick
In 2008, the Toronto Maple Leafs had the fifth overall draft pick. They went up to the stage, and picked Luke Schenn. Schenn was supposed to be the future of the Leafs' blue-line, but ultimately got traded for James Van Riemsdyk.
Now, almost 15 years after Schenn put on a Leafs jersey for the first time, they are trying to acquire him again.
Schenn may not be a 25-year-old minute munching player anymore, but on a Leafs defensive corps that has been decimated by injury, he could be a solution. His experience could equally help the Leafs get past the first round this year.
Do you think a Schenn homecoming tour in Toronto would make sense?
