One of the biggest trade of the decade almost happened in 2019 between the Oilers and the Lightning.
Jeff Marek, Sportsnet podcaster, spoke about it in his last podcast.
Note from the Jeff Marek show today. He's said numerous times that at the 2019 entry draft in Vancouver Tampa was looking to trade Kucherov. Today was the first time I've heard what the rumored return would have been, Leon Draisaitl. That would be insane and I don't know which team would benefit more might be one of the fairest 1 for 1 trades I've seen in awhile.
Kucherov must be very happy that he stayed in Tampa that's for sure.
