The captain had no idea where he was or what was going on, and you could tell he was making it difficult for trainers and medical personnel to care for him and keep him safe in order to avoid aggravating his condition.
That's when Tavares picked up the sound of his teammate Jason Spezza. When the seasoned forward heard him say he could hear him, he went over to his friend and tried to calm him down.
On Friday, Spezza revealed those terrifying information to the media, and it was clear that they still affected him.
We're sure he appreciated Spezza's help and confort, and we bet the Maple Leafs will come out with even more fight and energy to even up the series.
The Canadiens and Maple Leafs will face off for the second game of this first-round series on Saturday night, at the ScotiaBank Centre.
