Surprising 27-year-old center available on waivers

With Nicklas Backtrom and Tom Wilson returning tonight, the Washington Capitals had to make some moves.
They placed 27-year-old centre Joe Snively's name on waivers.
In 12 games last season in Washington, Snively had seven points and added 38 in 35 AHL games. In six games this year, he has recorded one point.
