On Tuesday, the Minnesota Wild announced that the team will buy out the final four years of the contracts of forward Zach Parise and Suter. Both players will become unrestricted free agents on July 28. The Wild will pay each $6.7 million over the next eight years and be charged with $2.371 million, $6.371 million, $7.371 million and $7.371 million cap hits in the next four years, respectively, for each, then $833,333 cap hits the four years after that for each.

Suter is 36 years, but it likely to get interest from teams on the free-agent market. There are talks that the Boston Bruins would easily be able to slide Suter into Torey Krug's old spot on the left side of the blue line. Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet also reports that Suter could end up with the Colorado Avalanche or the Washington Capitals, who might go after him as well on the market later this month.

The veteran forward saw a dip in production this shortened season in which he recorded just 19 points. He still skated more than 22 minutes per game.

Let's hope Suter can get over the move and appreciate the next one in his career.
