It looks like the Canadiens are wanting to build a strong foundation off the ice to help the Canadiens going forward to rebuild a Contender. The Montreal Canadiens are believed to be adding Vincent Lecavalier to the organization finally.
The Montreal Canadiens tried many times to aquire former NHL star Vincent Lecavalier including some crazy offer for Carey Price, Max Pacioretty, and PK Subban back in the day but Lecavalier said no to then general manager Bob Gainey.
Many years later and new GM Kent Hughes has been rumored to bring him finally to the Habs. Richard Labbé of La Presse in Montreal reported he believes the Canadiens will ask Lecavalier to join the Canadiens.
Vincent Lecavalier was drafted 1st overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning back in the 1998 NHL Draft. He had an outstanding career winning a Stanley Cup with the Tampa Bay Lightning, and would be a huge asset for the Habs who are trying to fix their broken franchise who currently sit dead last in the entire NHL.
