According to Ryan Rishaug, the Edmonton Oilers have decided to prioritize Kailer Yamamoto over Jesse Puljujarvi.
Both players will become free agents with compensation at the end of the season, but it appears that the Oilers will only have the money to sign one of the two.
Rishaug said it's possible that Jesse Puljujarvi has played his last game in an Oilers uniform.
Last season, the Swede had 36 points in 65 games.
Yamamoto had 41 points in 81 games.
