The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Axel Rindell's name on waivers in an effort to end his contract.
Drafted in the sixth round by the Leafs in 2020, Rindell has been blanked in six games this season in the AHL, but has four points in five games in the ECHL.
All indications are that he will return to Europe in the next few days, unless a team decides to claim him.
