Vancouver Canucks under fire for management of Ilya Mikheyev
The Vancouver Canucks can't seem to do anything right this season. From coaching instability, to the inevitable exit of their captain Bo Horvat, it's been a mess on the Pacific Coast.
Now, free agent signing Ilya Mikheyev has been announced to be out for the rest of the season for an ACL injury. The kicker? He got the injury in the pre-season.
It doesn't take a genius to know that ACL and MCL injuries are some of the most dangerous in hockey, and aggravating that injury for over four months could have an effect on Mikheyev's entire career.
They chose to leave him out now because his recovery will take him all the way to the beginning of training camp.
Just another embarrassing effort from the crumbling Vancouver Canucks.
