We've recently received some exciting news.
Check out what the great Marco D'Amico just said on TSN690 this morning:
"According to several sources, the Montreal Canadiens would be inclined to draft Shane Wright.(CH officials are currently leaning towards Wright) His end of the season is not a concern for the organization. Wright was not used in situations where he could exercise his offensive skills, rather he was used to help younger players." - Matthew Ross So we understand here that, despite all the noise and speculation surrounding young Juraj Slafkovsky, the Canadiens pick would still be Shane Wright.
This is great news, in our opinion. And it all fits perfectly with the recent statements made by Wright's current head coach in Kingston.
Wright, 18, has 94 points (32 goals) in 63 games this season.
I can't wait to see how this all plays out and to hear the official announcement at the Bell Centre on July 7th. It will be incredible!
