We might sound like a broken record player at this point, still talking about the Radko Gudas controversy. Fortunately, out of this whole mess, we might see some real change from the league regarding its own rules.
You Can't Do That!
Radko Gudas caused quite the stir when he held the stick of Calle Jarnkrok at the conclusion of game 5. That small little stick grab, potentially determined the outcome of that game, and it now looks like the rules may be changed next season to prevent this from happening again.
Former goaltender turned analyst, Marty Biron, weighed in on the situation. Biron claims that the issue will be addressed in the off-season, but it doesn't look like everyone agree.
Another former player, Brian Boyle, says there's no chance that the NHL makes these changes, and disgraced former Referee, Tim Peel, agrees.
With all this debate over the rules, the NHL will surely have to look into it this summer.
