Game 7 victory guaranteed by Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman
The Toronto Maple Leafs have fought their way back from down 3-1 in their series against the Boston Bruins to force a Game 7. Today in a surprising move Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman has publicly declared that his team will win the series.
Interviews during the Stanley Cup Playoffs often bring rehearsed answers and little excitement from players. Today that was not the case as Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman spoke and guaranteed his team would come out of Game 7 victorious.
"...that's what is going to make it feel so special when we do beat these guys next game."
This guarantee should not scare the Toronto Maple Leafs heading into Game 7. Before previous games, Jeremy Swayman has made similar statements only to lose the game later that day.
"We saw an opportunity that we missed & we're not going to let that happen again"
Jeremy Swayman on failing to clinch the series
If the Boston Bruins fail to close out the Toronto Maple Leafs and end up eliminated much could be made of Jeremy Swayman's potentially arrogant comments. Puck drop is set for 8 pm both sides will have the opportunity to show exactly why they deserve their spot in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
