The Montreal Canadiens are in a period of growth where prospect development is key. Today it was announced that one of their top prospects will be changing homes in a blockbuster trade.

Canadiens Top Prospect On The Move In Blockbuster Trade

The CHL (Canadian Hockey League) and more specifically OHL (Ontario Hockey League) trade deadlines are fast approaching. Today a much-anticipated trade in the OHL involving a Montreal Canadiens prospect has gone down.
The Saginaw Spirit announced today that they have acquired Canadiens second-round pick Owen Beck from the Peterborough Petes.
TRADE ALERT

Spirit acquire OHL Champion and World Junior Gold Medalist Owen Beck in exchange for Aiden Young and three draft picks.
In return, the Petes will get Aiden Young and a set of draft picks. Beck will join the Spirit who have a stacked roster and are looking to make a push for an OHL championship. This will be Beck's third team in as many years as he was traded from the Mississauga Steelheads to Peterborough last season.
The Canadiens will now watch as Beck looks to continue his impressive OHL career and cap it off with a Memorial Cup appearance and victory.
