One Team Determined to Land Erik Karlsson in a Blockbuster Trade
Erik Karlsson is coming off a stellar season, notching over 100 points in 2022-23. His season promptly returned his name to the top of the all-star defenders' list and landed him his 3rd Norris Trophy.
Trade Rumours
A season like this easily places Karlsson as one of the most valuable players on the trade market this offseason. As reported by Elliotte Friedman, the two frontrunners to land Karlsson are Carolina and Pittsburgh. While the situation is still up in the air, Pittsburgh seems to be inching out in front in the Erik Karlsson sweepstakes.
Kyle Dubas, President of Hockey Operations for the Penguins, is continuing to make his mark on his new organization. Whether or not he can close the deal for Karlsson remains to be seen.
