Guentzel is having one of the best years of his career. He is on pace for 40 goals and over 90 points at his current pace. Guentzel has been known as one of the best complimentary players in the NHL.

Guentzel On His Way West At The Trade Deadline?
In a recent segment on television NHL insiders Pierre LeBrun and Chris Johnston were discussing possible landing spots for top trade targets. When Jake Guentzel was brought up Chris Johnston had a team that came to mind.
Johnston suggested that the Edmonton Oilers should be a favorite to land Guentzel. The Oilers are back in contention but have struggled to score this season. Guentzel would provide a major boost in this area of the game.
Johnston mentions Guentzel as a perfect fit to play along with Leon Draisaitl. He mentions the Oilers have an all-in mindset still. If the Penguins are willing to part ways with Guentzel this could be a perfect match for both sides.
