Western Conference Powerhouse Suitable Destination for William Nylander
The next few months will be critical for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They'll have to make a decision concerning Kyle Dubas, and everything will flow from there.
Whoever is chosen to be the GM will have a lot of work to do. Many UFAs are on the roster, and they probably won't be able to sign them all unless they make significant cap space through trades.
A huge proposal has emerged, suggesting sending William Nylander to a top team in the West.
Western Conference Powerhouse Considered a Suitable Destination for William Nylander
The Colorado Avalanche also had a short playoff run, partly due to the absence of Gabriel Landeskog, who will miss the entire next season, and Valeri Nichushkin, who was forced to leave the team due to legal troubles.
With Landeskog away for a long time, they have the space to acquire a talented player and William Nylander is a solid candidate for the job.
Here's the official proposal from Jeff Marek, as seen on Twitter:
Marek on 32TP: "If you make William Nylander available, I know a lot of Nylander haters won't like to hear this, but there will be a huge market for William Nylander... The one team that keeps popping out to me when I think about if the Leafs want to go to the market with Nylander is Colorado."
The price to pay would certainly be high, but Nylander would be a great addition to the team.
Do you think the trade will happen?
