He never seems to be able to settle with any one team for more than a couple of years before issues start to arise. According to recent rumors, that is exactly what is happening with Kane and the Oilers right now.

Given these recent rumors, many fans now believe that the winger could be on the trade block. Any team destined for the playoffs should be interested in Kane if he is in fact available. The 32-year-old power forward has 21 goals and 35 points in 55 games with the Oilers this season. One team that could be an ideal fit from the Oilers perspective is the Toronto Maple Leafs.

That being said, the Leafs really need help on the blueline as their defense has been quite bad this season.
Furthermore, they have dealt with a series of injuries, limiting the effectiveness of their already-thin defense.

Whether or not that leaves them enough room to add a winger like Kane remains to be seen.
