After disappointing seasons, the St. Louis Blues, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Anaheim Ducks failed to qualify for this season's Stanley Cup Playoffs, the teams met the media before wrapping up for good on the 2022/2023 NHL season.
Both St. Louis, Columbus and Anaheim left dropping bombshells regarding the future of their respective teams.
The Ducks announced that bench boss Dallas Eakins will not return for his 5th season behind the Ducks bench.
St. Louis, loaded with draft capital after selling off Ryan O'Reilly, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Ivan Barbashev are poised for an on-the-fly re-tool. Earlier this afternoon the team announced that assistant coaches Craig MacTavish and Mike Van Ryn will not return behind the Blues' bench next season.
The Columbus Blue Jackets equally announced that head coach Brad Larsen would not be returning.
Many more names are poised to join the coach's carousel in the coming days and weeks as teams failing to meet their goals have their season come to an end.
