Getting fired from a job is never easy. Thankfully, Brian Burke is choosing to stay positive after being released by the Penguins.
Moving On
Burke was fired by the Penguins, along with GM Ron Hextall and assistant GM Chris Pryor Friday morning. Burke served as the President of Hockey Operations for the Penguins.
Burke released a statement shortly after being fired.
Both Burke and Hextall were hired by the Penguins on February 9, 2021 after former GM Jim Rutherford's exit from the Penguins. Pryor was hired and named Director of Player Personnel by Hextall shortly after. He was promoted to Assistant GM in June 2022.
The Penguins will look to replace the three this offseason.
