A Swedish Court has ruled in a horrific Hockey injury in Sweden's U20.

Kid Andersson was left with severe facial injuries following an incident in a game, where Andersson was reported to have sprayed water at an opposing player.

The player, who was not named, had proceeded to attack Andersson with his stick, causing horrific facial injuries and serious bleeding, which required urgent medical care for the 19-year-old.

A Swedish Court ruled against the opposing player, fining him SEK 66,000 ($6,272 USD) for the attack of Andersson, but acquitted the player, as they noted that the attack did not appear as premeditated, but the district Court noted that the player acted carelessly in the incident.

Andersson had to receive surgery for the incident, which repaired a broken jaw and multiple broken teeth. Andersson has since returned to Hockey, playing games for his U20 team Hille/Abyggeby. The opposing player was suspended for a year following the incident, which took place in January 2022.
