Two Brothers Traded For Each Other in Deal Between the Flames and Coyotes
This has got to be a first. In a trade between the Flames and Coyotes in the dying minutes before the deadline, two brothers were traded for each other.
Ritchie to Calgary, Ritchie to Arizona
In an already unique four-player swap deal, with the Calgary Flames sending Connor Mackey and Brett Ritchie to the Coyotes in exchange for Troy Stecher and Nick Ritchie, it was noticed that there were two Ritchies in the deal.
Indeed, Brett and Nick Ritchie are brothers, and they were in the same transaction. Crazy stuff!
