Department of Player Safety Rules on Brad Marchand
After a controversial hit on Michael McLeod, many expected Brad Marchand to be suspended. The Department of Player Safety has now ruled on the matter.
DoPS Rules on Marchand
Brad Marchand is as abrasive of a player that you'll find, and the league has been very harsh on him in the past.
Thus, many expected that the league would make an example of him as the playoffs loom after a hit to the head on Michael McLeod.
However, luckily for Marchand, the Department of Player Safety has opted not to penalize him for the hit.
With the Bruins in shape to break an all-time NHL record for wins in a season, Marchand on the bench instead of in the press box is a big boost.
