Jack Edwards Takes Another Shot at Pat Maroon, Continuing their Rivalry
Nobody saw it coming that the biggest rivalry of the season would be between Jack Edwards and Patrick Maroon.
Thankfully for fans, this became one of the biggest rivalries this season. Edwards doubled down on his feelings towards Maroon during a recent Bruins and Lightning game.
How did the rivalry start?
The incident occurred earlier in the season, when the Bruins play-by-play announcer, Jack Edwards "fat shamed" Pat Maroon.
These cruel and unprovoked comments resulted in some good. Maroon donated money to charity as a result of the comments.
Despite the reports that the two have made amends after the fat shaming comments, Edwards evidently still has something against Maroon.
During the match between Boston and Tampa Bay, Patrice Bergeron scored on the power play, which was caused by Maroon taking a penalty, Edwards commented:
''Maroon takes the skate of shame!''
'Have a seat!''
This was not as nasty as his previous comments, but it still shows that Jack Edwards still seems to be going after Pat Maroon.
