Today the Calgary Flames are in the news regarding a potential trade heading into the deadline. The news comes about after a star defenseman has reportedly requested a trade.

Flames Defenseman Requests Trade In An Unconventional Way

New reports are confirming that Flames defenseman Noah Hanifin has requested a trade away from the team. However, the method of which he used to request it is unconventional.

After unsuccessful contract talks, Noah Hanifin is expected to be traded by Calgary before the deadline.

Instead of asking for a trade outright, Hanifin has denied the Flames in extension talks. This has led them to need to trade him before the deadline. It remains to be seen if Hanifin is indeed traded but rumors are definitely going to pick up in the coming weeks.
