P.K. Subban Faces Heated Backlash After Bold Remarks on Connor Bedard
P.K. Subban has always been known for speaking his mind when it comes to hockey. This continued today when he made a bold prediction about Connor Bedard and his place in the NHL.
Subban Makes A Bold Claim
Recently P.K. Subban made his opinion on recent first overall pick Connor Bedard known. He had a strong opinion on the generational prospect.
Subban compliments Bedard and also takes a shot at anyone who tries to disagree with him Bedard is certainly already a top talent in the NHL. Subban's placement of him in the top 10 players has received some major backlash though.
Subban Faces Backlash For Bold Statement
Since making this statement P.K. Subban has faced significant backlash from people who disagree with him.
"The same people hyping him up like crazy are gonna be calling him a bust when he doesn't put up 80 points his rookie season"
"How has literally everything Subban has said since retirement been wrong?"

These comments allude to the idea that the expectations for Bedard from media are unrealistic. He is doomed to fail by the media according to some with such lofty goals. This did sort of recently happen with first-overall pick Alexis Lafreniere. He had massive expectations right out of the gate and has struggled to find his way in the NHL.
