Bedard Scores A Spectacular Goal And Delivers A Defiant Stare To The Goalie Who Hit Him
Tonight the Carolina Hurricanes came with a physical mindset against the Chicago Blackhawks. Rookie forward Connor Bedard took the brunt of this physicality including a reverse hit from Sebastian Aho and a cheap shot from goaltender Spencer Martin.
Despite all of this Bedard stuck to his game and even with his team down by four was looking to make an impact. Bedard shortly into the third finally capitalized on a jaw dropping goal while falling.
Bedard after scoring went stone faced and seemed to not celebrate. In fact Bedard did celebrate by staring down goaltender Spencer Martin who not too long before had shoved him.
This savage moment of competitiveness is part of what made NHL teams and fans fall in love with Bedard. Unfortunately for him and the Blackhawks his team still fell short. The competitive fire is still something you love to see from Bedard and will be great for that team going forward.
